Happy New Year!
Doesn’t this year just feeeeeel different? Can you feel it?
In 2014 I got sober, lost 40 pounds, met Oprah, got a new car (not from Oprah), started a new business, got my first paying client, started a kick-ass local women’s group, led 8 workshops (public speaking was my scariest, worst nightmare), became a Huffington Post blogger, coached over 25 women and even a couple a dudes!
January 1st brings the promise of new beginnings and a chance for a fresh start.
2015 is going to be OUR year!!! Let’s go ALL out and do the damn thing.
Here are a few tips to make the most of it!
Tip #1 Make Your Desire List
What do you intend to make happen this year? Write it down, commit to it with your whole heart (even if it makes you anxious and doubtful) and map out a plan to make it happen.
You don’t need to know every step on the whole staircase…just the first step. Once you take action on that first step, more is revealed.
Tip #2 Declutter The Crap Out Of Your Home, Car, Purse, Life
Oh lawdy, I am in the midst of this one. If you don’t love it, need it, or use it…chuck it! Yup, give it away, sell it on ebay, move it out of your space.
You are literally and energetically making room in your life for NEW things to show up. Remember that list you made above. That stuff needs room.
Get a large bag or box and fill it with 100 items you don’t love, use or need over the weekend.
You will feel spectacular!
Tip #3 What Do You Need To Let Go Of & Who Do You Need To Forgive
Maybe you need to forgive yourself and stop being mean to you.
Maybe it’s that guy who broke your heart or your dad, your boss, heck it could even be the government or the police you’re holding a grudge against.
We all have emotional baggage and we all have the option to drop it at anytime.
What is one good thing that came out of the situation?
Hand over heart and say:
“I forgive you, I’m sorry, I love you, Thank you, I am letting this go”.
Then refocus your attention on love and gratitude.
TIp #4 First Class Upgrade & Treat Yo’Self
What does a first class life look like for you? Money and income aside. What can you do each week to make yourself feel rich?
Even earmarking 10 dollars a week can make you feel like a star, change your whole vibe around money and make you feel more abundant thus even more attractive to them dolla dolla bills.
Buy yourself fresh flowers, get the fancy coffee beans, splurge on organic green juice and say YES to that extra hand massage at the nail shop.
And no matter what. Get your hair did.
Tip #5 Get Support
You can’t do it all alone.
You need support.
Even if you have to barter and trade with your neighbor or best friend, get help!
There is no way I would’ve had the year I’ve had without several support systems in place.
And I am going to get even more help this year! I suck at keeping my house clean. Some people are excellent at this. I’m going to find one of those people and pay em’.
So there you have it.
Write down exactly what you want this year, make room for it, treat yourself to a first class life RIGHT NOW and make getting support non-negotiable. You are so worth it!
As my friend Oprah would say (hee hee), “The crown has already been paid for, you just need to place it on your head”.
Give yourself permission to be happy, rich, loved, successful and overflowing with joy.
All this and more for you (and me) in 2015.
Cheers to a new year,
